eight non-consecutive days

In eight non-consecutive days this happened:
Celebrated the life and times of dear friends with a good ol'fashioned birthday bash, party hats and all.
A lot of good eating at Tennessy Willems.
Samantha Savage Smith at Raw Sugar.
Finding reasons to wear my play clothes.
Hanging out with the fearless types.
Dishing out dog pats.
Finding quiet moments during the big, bad bustle.
Participating in the 24 hour brunch that inevitability turns into a dance party.

Portrait of the last few days
*
Taking part in some very productive hibernation.
Waking up most mornings with the feeling that something has changed, something subtle, something I don;t quite understand yet.
Saw The Coppertone at Raw Sugar. Dope.
Toying with the idea of starting a band with my friends. None of us sing, but we can all almost play an instrument....I might just stick to dinging a triangle and writing lyrics.
My new neighboorhood is in sandwich heaven. Two blocks away--German Town. Four blocks away--Bowich

permanent vacation

Its that time again. The time when my vain ears think you will love the same music as they do. Are they right or what?

Far from being on vacation, (but desperately, desperately wanting one), I can at least pretend to be elsewhere when this music is playing. Enjoy lovers.

lyrical love

Madly in love with these lyrics.

If I die clutching your photograph,
Don't call me boring, it's just that I like you.

the better half

My better half smokes parliments and wears a pistol for a shoe.
She packs mad heat and shoves her hand in her hair when she means fuck you.

I call her magic 8 ball cuz she shakes to get the answer she wants.
She rolls with the punches, like a fighter savant.

She may have been born from bad elements and we don't always get along,
but we like the same melodies and we play the same songs.

It's a good time to get lost in music.

cheap monday shirt, zara skirt, nine west shoes

Hello hello.
A lot on the go lately. Spent the day editing scripts, planned out my next month worth of projects/gigs and listened to Charles Bradley while scrubbing my spoons and cleaning my sheets.
I'm about to dart out for a quick date with a friend and a stroll before it pours.

hello
wasting time lately, its been so lovely
spent the last few days with my mum
lazing in the country over the weekend, saturday soaked in salty waters, sunday walking through budding forests
today i met with a creative fella and we are going to make some beautifully dark pictures together
music taking over
feel like running, but its not really about running away, its about the desire to run

let's stretch this thing out

full blown love

in the clear

WARNING
This music is for lovers. For heart breakers and the broken-hearted.
Once you listen to these sounds, you will lay in bed  better than you ever did before;  haunted by thoughts of elevator lust and scarlet fever affection.
The music you are about to hear may hypnotize you.
Your mind and soul will feel like butter.
At first, you may question the sensation when the melody hits your eardrums and your organs become juicy and spongy.
Don't fret.
Let the butter consume you and remind yourself to never fully give your heart to a woman that loves the blues.

holding on

today: writing letters. wet hair. freezing cold. making new playlists but really just listening to the same five songs on repeat. prepping for a fashion spectacle (you should come!). figuring out how to wear more of my vintage nightgowns as day-wear.
